The Ulster County Industrial Development Agency or UCIDA is a public benefit corporation of the State of New York. Incorporated in 1976 as a non-profit economic development organization, we are dedicated to fostering a healthy and viable economy in Ulster County.
Our purpose is to promote, encourage, attract and develop job and business opportunities and economically sound commerce and industry in cities, towns and villages in Ulster County.
UCIDA assists qualified applicants in the promotion of a wide variety of projects including:

German-based Selux started its U.S. business with only five employees. Today Selux U.S. has 130 employees and is run by local management. It has twice expanded its facilities to accommodate growth.

In a sale/leaseback transaction between the Ulster County Industrial Development Agency, Benedictine Hospital and real estate developer, First Columbia Benedictine Group, LLC, Benedictine Hospital was able to open its doors to a new 34,000 square foot, state of the art Cancer Care Center in November 2005.
