AGENCY MEMBERS

The members of the Agency are appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the County Legislature of Ulster County. The Members of the Agency constitute the governing body of the Agency (the “Board”), and have and responsibly exercise all of the powers prescribed by Article 18-a of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York (the “Act”) and other applicable law, including but not limited to Chapter 766 of the 2005 Laws of the State of New York (the “PAAA”).

Effective June 1, 2022, the Agency’s Members are:

All officers of the Agency are elected at the annual meeting. All officers remain in office for one year. The Board also appoints a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Financial Officer of the Agency.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Meeting Organization: The Agency Administrator is responsible for organizing and scheduling UCIDA/UCCRC board meetings and public hearings. This includes coordinating the with the board members, sending timely notifications, and ensuring that relevant materials are available for discussion. Following all application laws and regulations for public meetings.

  2. Agenda and Meeting Preparation: The agency administrator prepares meeting agendas, compiles, and distributes meeting packages. The administrator also organizes relevant reports, keeps meeting minutes during board and committee meetings for review and approval. Set-up equipment and manages live-stream of UCIDA/UCCRC meetings.

  3. Document Management: Efficiently managing data including, mail, emails, phone calls, and agency documents from various professional services vendors, the board and committees, and outside entities. This involves collecting and arranging information, inquiries, filing, tracking and handling of agency mail. In addition, the administrator and maintaining strong collaboration with board members, IDA vendors, and project applicants.

  4. UCIDA Action Item Coordination: Tracking action items before and after meetings. This includes distributing post-meeting documents, follow up on IDA resolutions and other documents, and ensure deliverables or IDA requirements are met within specified timelines. Upload any post meeting material to the UCIDA website.
Board Development: The administrator also handles additional duties such as communicating and ensuring that board members attend training sessions, complete any required documentation and maintaining regular communication with the board.
 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum High School, Associate’s Degree preferred.
1-2 years prior administration experience and excellent word processing skills.
 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong computer, organizational, and time management skills.
Knowledge of Economic Development, public authorities or Governmental entities a plus.
 

Additional Notes:

This position is part time in Kingston office, M-F from approx. 10-2 with some flexibility required for monthly board meetings and committee meetings and public hearings.
